Housemates Lead Pabasa

Big Brother wanted the housemates to feel the solemnity of the Holy Week, hence, he instructed the housemates to lead a Pabasa. Wendy received the details of the task which she relayed to the other housemates. According to Kuya, there will an instructor who will teach a couple of housemates the tune of the Pabasa. After the two have mastered the Pabasa, two other housemates will follow to learn the tune. The housemates will take turns in doing the Pabasa which will be heard outside the PBB house where there will be visitors until the end of the Holy Week.

The housemates were strictly advised to do the Pabasa seriously because there will be visitors outside the house who will be listening. Big Brother stressed that the task must be done in commemmoration of Christ's holy passion. This was quite a challenge for the housemates as most of them were unfamiliar with the said Filipino Holy Week tradition. The housemates formed the pairs who will take turns. Mickey and Robert were originally paired, but the others figured that it would be difficult for these two foreign-born guys to learn some of the profound Filipino words in the Pabasa. Mickey insisted that he won't have a problem doing the Pabasa with Robert as he was very willing to learn, but the rest were decided that it would be better if Mickey and Robert will do the reading with a partner who is fluent in Filipino.

While waiting for Kuya's signal for the Pabasa, the housemates carried on with the painting of the Easter eggs. The boys, on the other hand, took care of grating the coconut shells, the meat of which will be used in making ginatan, bico, and suman. These native Filipino dishes will be served to the people who will attend the Pabasa in the PBB house. Let's just all hope that the housemates will do well in this task. Dionne? Again?!

The issue with Dionne may be far from over as a sequel seems to be in the works. Bruce, Nel, and Kian were outside grating several coconuts while talking about Dionne. The boys thought that after Zeke's eviction from the house, there will see some changes with regard to Dionne's behavior. However, the red flag was raised again when Dionne verbalized her likeness for Mickey. According to Nel, Dionne admitted to dreaming about Mickey for four consecutive nights. Dionne's feelings, apparently, had been brought to Mickey's attention. The Fil-Austrian dude, however, had gone on record for not feeling anything special toward Dionne, but the girl still continued on her closeness with Mickey.

The three boys shared a mutual concern that Dionne might be on her way to committing the same mistake she did with Zeke. Nel said that it would be difficult for a girl to fall for a guy who does not feel the same toward her. Nel told Bruce if they can talk the things down with Dionne. They can't seem to understand why Dionne was acting too close with guys considering she has a boyfriend outside the house. They expected that after being reminded by Kuya about her closeness with Zeke, Dionne would continue keeping her distance. The three imagined being in the boyfriend's shoes, of how hard it would be to see their girlfriend getting too "physical" with other men.

The conversation developed into a group analysis of Dionne. They were confused on what Dionne was expecting to get from expressing likeness over other guys while having a boyfriend outside the house. They agreed that actions must be done to address this problem as it is already affecting everyone, and it is surely creating a negative image out of Dionne. What will the boys do to solve this? Preparing thyselves

The housemates are experiencing a particularly uneventful day (relatively) in the PBB house. But with everyone well into the Holy Week, even those in the House should have ample time for reflection and recollection.

Lunch for the housemates, however, was quite a hilarious episode. Their winning the last weekly task equated to better food for the housemates, and for today Nel had prepared a hearty ihaw-ihaw for everyone. While he was busy grilling the fish and vegetables, however, the PBB theme song suddenly played, and everyone dropped what they were doing and danced.

However, an unlikely culprit seemed to have a hidden agenda: Nel returned to his cooking area to find a large bite mark on the fish, which was now on the ground; while Buddy was busy licking his chops! After a few laughs from the housemates (and constant scolding by the frustrated cook), they soon enjoyed what’s left of their feast.

After eating, the housemates were dancing (once again) when they noticed the monitor playing a classic movie. Big Brother was kind enough to repeat the film so they could start it, and hinted that they bring some snacks as well. The housemates hurried to grab some food, and at the same time gathered up the materials for their weekly task as well. So at this time, twelve housemates in bunny costumes are busy eating and injecting custard into eggs, while The Ten Commandments is provided for their viewing pleasure.

Kokak!

The housemates were fresh from the challenging but enjoyable Sudoku task for the day in which the pair of Mickey and GeeAnn emerged as winners. Everybody was looking forward to a relaxing time after the physically and mentally demanding Sudoku. Big Brother treated the housemates to a cool dip as part of the second task for the day. The catch, however, was that the pool was infested with live frogs.

The look on the faces of each housemate was priceless. Frogs seemed to be a common cause of disgust among most of them, especially the girls as just the mere sight of the frogs swimming in the waters sent them to a screaming mode. Despite the "ick" factor, the task must be done, so the housemates jumped right into the pool to make the catch.

Screams filled the house as the elusive slimy frogs were caught and collected in a pail. When all frogs were gathered in the pail, the housemates thought that the they have seen the end of the task. But much to their surprise, they would need to "see if there was a prince in every frog." Big Brother rhetorically asked them what to do to find out if a certain frog is actually a prince, to which Bodie kiddingly replied "inaalog po." Kuya found the joke too sarcastic, so he authoritatively told Bodie to shake the frog until it turns into a prince, and if not, he will suffer the consequence. Bodie quickly apologized to Big Brother.

Catching the live frogs from the pool was tough enough for the housemates, let alone kiss them. On Big Brother's signal, each Sudoku pair was called to the bridge, and the girls were tasked to kiss the frog they caught. Mickey and GeeAnn were called first, and GeeAnn gathered all her guts to do the task, which she did after some convincing from Mickey. To the rest of the girls, the kiss was too disgusting. They were given by Kuya the option to kiss the frog or ask the guys to do the kissing. Wendy was very reluctant to kiss the frog in Bruce's hand. Wendy kept screaming to the top of her lungs. Big Brother said "Wendy...mabibingi ang palaka sayo." Bea, on the contrary, was so in the game as she immediately kissed the frog that Kian was holding.

Nel and Maricris were called last, and after Saicy kissed the frog, Big Brother told her "Maricris..binabati kita..nahalaikan mo ang prinsipe." Before Maricris could celebrate her luck, Kuya instructed Nel to kiss the frog. The other housemates joked "Kuya...itanong nyo muna ang frog kung gusto nya magpahalik kay Nel," which was followed by a big laugh from the group.

It was a day of fun and difficulty for the housemates. Mickey enjoyed a triple treat comprising an automatic exemption, a dance show and a visit from his friend, and now, a victory at the Sudoku. Let's all keep it here to see what's in store for the other housemates for the weeks to come.

Can you do Sudoku?

The housemates took a break from their weekly task to concentrate on a daily one; and this required using their heads, literally and figuratively.

They were paired up and sent to the activity area, where they found six giant Sudoku puzzles, giant pencils, giant cans of ink, and helmets with paintbrushes strapped on the top. Gee-Ann couldn’t help but jump in excitement when she saw these, because it turns out solving these was a habit of hers; and her partner Mickey smiled as well.

The task, which was titled ‘Can You Do Sudoku?’, required the housemates to solve these puzzles in the shortest time. The mat had six 3x3 squares, forming a large 9x9 one. They were to fill in the missing numbers; 1 to 9 in each small square, and 1 to 9 across in the big one, without repeating. There was a twist, though; one of them would have to wear the helmet, while the other would lift her up bodily, dip the brush in ink, and use her as a human quill to write the appropriate number. Three pairs would earn first, second, and third place, respectively; as well as a yet-to-be-announced reward.

The housemates quickly got to work. Mickey quickly lifted up Gee-Ann, and was about to dip her head in the ink when Big Brother pointed out what the pencils were for; they can use it to solve the puzzle first, then mark it with the ink. Gee-Ann was clearly the brains as she quickly figured out the puzzle… and marked it clearly with her head! Their teamwork made them the first to solve the puzzle.

How will the others fare? Who will rightfully earn second and third place, and which pairs will end up with nothing but ink on their faces? Stay tuned!

Sexy back!

Mickey was promised a dance number by Big Brother because of his successful charade during his first week of stay. He was asked to dance to the tune of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Sexy Back’, as well as instruct the other housemates. The Austrian Dancing King was more than willing to comply, as this was something he has been practicing even before entering the house.

Last night, Big Brother called him into the confession room and asked him to prepare for his dance number. Mickey excitedly called the girls (sans Maricris) and told them to dress up for the performance. They then proceeded to the activity room (the former secret garden) which was now converted into a dance platform. They quickly took position, and cut a rug as the music started Mickey’s teaching surely paid off, as the girls provided suitable backup moves as well.

The girls exited for Mickey’s dance solo, but little did he know that he would have another partner to dance with! While he was dancing, a familiar face suddenly appeared – Ryan, his best friend and partner from their dance group Limited Edition, suddenly took the stage as well! The two quickly hugged and proceeded to showcase the dance moves they practiced together. After the song, Ryan had to leave immediately, but not before Mickey asked his friend to say hello to his mom for him.

An exhausted but satisfied Mickey entered the house to the whoops and cheers of his fellow housemates. But Nel had another thing in mind – he quickly faced up Mickey and challenged him to a dance-off. The housemates laughed even more, because as Mickey’s dance moves were very impressive indeed, it proved to be no match for Nel’s stomach-rubbing and macho-dancing!

And so Mickey enjoyed a nice reward for his actions, and was able to show the world how good of a dancer he is… and got help from an unlikely visitor as well!

Hatched!

Fresh from their succesful Water Mill task of week five, the housemates carry on their shoulders the much bigger challenge for another victory. Big Brother has just given new task to the housemates early this afternoon, and ever since, everyone cannot think of anything but to succeed.

For this week, the housemates must make at least 500 leche flans stuffed in emptied egg shells. Upon the announcement of the cooking task, everybody was taken aback as in the last cooking task which was "Room Service," the housemates failed miserably.

The housements went to carry on with the task regardless of the difficulty. Kuya's instruction was to take the yolk and white from the egg without breaking the shell. Large syringes were provided to siphon the yolk and the egg white and preserve the shell. Despite the meticulous procedure, the housemates successfully siphoned all the eggs. When the leche flan mixture was prepared, the housemates painstakingly inject the mixture back into the shell.

The challenging part, however, was the steaming of the leche flan egg. The housemates thought that all they needed to do was cover the tiny holes in the shell, place the eggs in the steamer, and wait for a few minutes. Unfortunately, they didn't expect that the shells might crack while being steamed, and so they did. Wendy was shocked when she opened the cooker and saw the leche flan leaked from the holes. The housmates immediately remedied the problem by lessing the leche flan content inside the shells and by allowing one hole open to let the heat out.

Making leche flan eggs may not be as easy as it may seem, but our housemates believe that with their teamwork and determination, success may happen again. El Romantiko of PBB strikes back

While dancing with Maricris, Nel boldly told the girl from Italy: "I like you that much. I don't know why. I just woke and [I thought], ‘Gosh, I have this feeling for you.' But I hope you understand about it. [Sighs] Naka-dance ako sa birthday mo saka ako yung unang tao na nag-greet sa ‘yo ngayon ng happy birthday."

"Hindi, si Wendy ang nauna," responds an embarrassed Maricris.

Mula sa pagkakaroon ng crush kay Wendy ay biglang nabaling ang pagkagusto ni Nel sa housemate from Italy na si Maricris.

Sa mga nakalipas araw ay hindi nakatakas sa matatalas na camera sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya ang pagiging malapit ng dalawa.

Malayo sa mga naunang eksena ng pagpapa-cute ni Nel sa mga babaeng housemates, kitang-kita ngayon ang pagiging desidido ng binata sa panliligaw kay Maricris.

Noong March 29, tuluyan na ngang nagtapat ang "el romantikong" Ilonggo kay Maricris tungkol sa espesyal niyang nararamdaman para sa dalaga.

Pero tila nasayang ang lakas ng loob na inipon ni "Mr. Perfect" sa pag-amin ng kanyang L-O-V-E for Maricris dahil feeling ng babae ay kalokohan ang mga pinagsasabi ni Nel!

"Gusto ko malaman mo na if you don't like it, wala akong magagawa...parang nakalublob ang isang paa ko ngayon," ma-dramang sabi ni Nel kay Maricris.

"Pwes, i-ahon mo...di ko alam nararamdaman ko ngayon," sagot naman ng dalaga.

Bakit kaya hindi mapaniwala ni Nel si Maricris? May pag-asa kaya si "Mr. Perfect" sa pagkakataong ito? Nararamdaman niyo na ba na "love is in the air" para sa dalawa? Huwag magpahuli sa sa Season 2 ng Pinoy Big Brother sa ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

Easter egg madness!

The housemates maybe cooped up inside the PBB house for this Holy Week, but this doesn’t stop them from preparing themselves; albeit in an odd and certainly unique manner.

After a successful weekly task that boosted their allowance from P6,500 to P10,400, Big Brother decided that the sixth one would be a fun, yet deceivingly meticulous activity; the aptly-titled ‘Egg-specially for Easter’.

Bea received their weekly task for today, hopping carefully while wearing a giant bunny helmet. After the laughter died down, the housemates listened carefully as Bea explained the mechanics. The housemates were to make 500 Easter eggs, and no two should look alike. However, before painting the eggs, the housemates were to retrieve the yolks and whites, prepare it into a leche flan mix, and insert it into the egg again.

The housemates were provided syringes for the task, which they would use to inject the mixture. They were also given bunny costumes like Bea’s, and had to hop around instead of walking while going about their task! The Housemates sheepishly donned their new threads, ad immediately got to work. The boys handled the syringes, while Wendy made small holes in the bottom of the eggs so Bea and the others can siphon the whites and yolks. It was quite a disturbing sight to see men in rabbit costumes injecting yellow stuff into eggs, but hey it's all for Easter anyway!

Will the housemates be able to finish the task before Saturday morning and enjoy a truly fruitful (and bountiful) Easter, or will their failure leave them hopping mad? Hold on to your hats… or rather, bunny heads!

Ladder match!

After a roundabout eviction night that saw Dionne edge Zeke by only the skin of her teeth, Big Brother decided that to ease up the tension, a new Super League Task would be sufficient; but a nomination exemption wouldn’t come at a small price, so he decided to present a familiar board game, and up the ante a little bit.

Robert, Gee-Ann, Wendy and Mickey were asked to compete. The four, who were successful in their sickness charade secret task, were rewarded with a full-body massage; Nel and Bea received the reward as well .But the four were rewarded further with a chance of being exempted from nomination.

The garden was converted into a large Snakes and Ladders board, complete with giant squares, ladders, and of course, snake slides. The housemates were to roll (or rather throw) a giant dice, which would determine how many squares they would take. A ladder would require them to clamber up to the designated square, while a snake would send them down to pits filled with frogs, cockroaches, rats and other ‘surprises’!

Gee-Ann was determined to win the game, and dedicated her performance to her mother as well as the other voters who saved her from exemption. She showed true grit in braving the disgusting pits and hanging tough, but it would be Mickey who would gain the top prize! He was congratulated by the others, and the ‘Hip-hop Dancing King’ beamed on knowing that he would be safe for a few weeks.

The crafty Mickey once again gains a sizeable advantage over tthe others! What task awaits the housemates next? Tune in!

Out Of The Dress, Out Of The House

He was just enjoying the life outside the clothes of Imelda, but unknown to Zeke, he was on his way to see the life outside the house. Ezekiel Dimaguila, the hunky housemate from Australia, became the second evictee of Pinoy Big Brother Season.

The eviction began with the five nominated housemates sitting beside each other waiting for the final word. Then, GeeAnn broke to tears when her name was announced as safe. The other housemates congratulated her for surviving the danger of eviction for the second time. Short after, Beatriz was given the confirmation that she was safe and allowed to stay inside the house for another week. Lastly, Wendy expressed her relief upon hearing her name as another survivor of the second eviction.

Right before the gap, Zeke and Dionne found comfort in each other once again as they both knew that one of them will be the week's evictee. They sat beside each other to provide a friendly support. The two held hands and waited for the dreadful final announcement.

PBB Host Toni Gonzaga then made the annoucement with millions of viewers watching. Dionne was declared safe from the second eviction, hence, Zeke was the one who needed to make his regretful exit. Zeke took a few seconds to accept the bitter truth, and Dionne gave him a final hug to wish him well. All that Zeke could say to the devastated housemates was "it's okay."

Zeke tried to keep his composure as he was given by Big Brother the time to say goodbye to the housemates, all of whom Zeke had treated as family during his stay inside Kuya's house. After giving his final hug to each of his friends, Zeke took his token and left the house in Kuya's signal.

Zeke emerged into the outside world with a sincere smile and optimism. As a goodbye gift to Zeke, he was made to watch some videos documenting the happy, and sometimes sad, moments he had together with the other housemates in the past month.

The voting results were also shown to the audience, with GeeAnn earning the highest number of votes, followed by Beatriz, then by Wendy. Dionne only surpassed Zeke by a point-something vote. Zeke accepted the results with a light heart, hoping that new and better things await him.

Another housemate had left the house, and the drama just keeps on unfolding by the day. How will life be inside the house now that Zeke is evicted? After tonight, the housemates will again face another challenging task which is the nomination.
