Tanghalang Secret Garden

While waiting for further instructions from Big Brother, our four new housemates decided to kill time with music. The four had no inhibitions about performing in front of their other mates, either they are already confident with each other or they are just too bored to feel embarrassed. We get to see future performers in our four new friends.

Jeremy was the first to be called on the spot. Because of his Japanese familiarity, Jeremy was tasked by his housemates to sing a Nihongo song. The other housemates didn't mind not understanding any of the lyrics, they just want to her Jeremy sing in Japanese. Prior to his singing, Jeremy told his fellow housemates the message of his song. He said that it was something about a man singing to the girl her loves. The girl apparently had her heart broken.

After the intro, our Jeremy-san then hit the stage and sang a Japanese lovesong.

Bodie was then called to follow. Bodie took some time before belting it out as he can't think of a particular song to sing. The two girls suggested that he sing a ballad, and when Mikah asked him to sing some thing from the Backstreet Boys, Bodie reacted "Ang bakya naman nun." Bodie then sang I Could Not Ask For More from Edwin McCain.

Mikah was very reluctant at first to sing in front of her housemates as she was very nervous. She said she rather perform in front of a big audience where in she won't have to see every single facial reaction compared to a small audience where it is easy to get intimidated. But after some encouragement from her housemates, Mikah amazed the rest with her small but sweet voice. Mikah sang the mild version of Sana Maulit Muli. Mikah can indeed carry a tune, and the other three gave her a warm applause.

As a closing performance for their Star In A Million-like show, the four housemates sang in chorus. The group took some time and thought about the perfect song to sing. At first the girls asked Jeremy to sing another Japanese song, but Jeremy insisted that they all sang together. After a while, the four began singing the chorus part of Pangako Sa 'Yo.

It was nice to see that our four new housemates all have showmanship. In the next few weeks, we may see more performance like this from the housemates. Maybe by the time the two groups have been formally introduced, Mikah and Wendy can sing together.
