It’s already Friday, and the housemates are already waiting on the result of their first weekly task; and the sandcastle is all but finished. But before announcing it, Big Brother had one last chance to redeem himself – he called upon the housemates to play beach volleyball in the middle of their precious castle. But they proved their worth once again, as the housemates took every precaution so the ball wouldn’t wreck it.
Soon enough, Big Brother called them in to the living room. He then announced that the care they put into building the sandcastle over the last four days was impressive, thus giving them the win. He also commended Zeke for the hard work he put in. However, he pointed out that although it was built finely, they hardly checked up on it outside the time allotted. As a result, they would receive only half of the fifty percent they put at stake, or P3750.
But more bad news was about to come. Gee-Ann’s minor mishap proved to go unnoticed; and Big Brother cashed in on their prize. The cost of the vase she broke was subtracted from their prize money, and that meant shaving off about two thousand pesos from their cash. Gee-Ann broke into tears right after, but she was quickly consoled by her fellow housemates. “Huwag ka nang umiyak,” Wendy told her. “Mabuti nga na masasanay tayo pag kaunti lang ang pera eh.” Mickey even took some tissue and wiped the tears from her eyes himself.
But after this short dramatic moment, the housemates decided that having won the first weekly task was greater than any prize money. They quickly took the whiteboard and happily made their shopping list, and Gee-Ann’s face lit up almost immediately. But this is just the beginning. What weekly task awaits the housemates come Monday?
