The "Diskarte Queen" Makes Her Debut

Just when excitement's starting to brew, who can turn things around than a new character. The second week of Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 paves the way for the introduction of fresh faces, and for the 10th housemate, we meet the "Diskarte Queen" in the person of Jasmin Engracia.

Jasmin is a 22-year old nursing student from Davao. She attends the Mindanao Medical Foundation College in Davao City. This southern lass enjoys spending her free time reading, watching television, cooking, or going to the mall. She loves playing badminton and volleyball and aspires to be a newscaster in the future.

Jasmin is a former Miss Zamboanga beauty pageant winner, but according to her, she doesn't seem to put much importance to her beauty title. Jasmin still prefers wearing simple and comfortable clothes without trying too hard to look like a true-blue beauty queen. She rarely wears make-up but manages to look as beautiful as she naturally is.

Langging, as she is known to her family and close friends, has earned the reputation of being a "Diskarte Queen." Early in her life, Jasmin had already learned the value of hardwork and perseverance. Jasmin belongs to a broken family. While growing up, she witnessed her family experience as series of financial challenges, that is why as a child she did everything she can to earn. Jasmin reveals to having sold an array of things ranging from phone cards and clothes. She was immediately exposed to the tough reality of the world where she learned the skills needed to survive.

Jasmin admits to frequenting casinos. By playing this game of luck she is able to earn some fast money which she sends to her mother in Ozamis and to her sister in Zamboanga. As a seasoned casino player, Jasmin believes that life is about taking risks. Only those who are brave and tough can take risks and in the end, reap the rewards of life.

As Jasmin enters the challenging PBB House, she was welcomed by Big Brother with a task. Jasmin was instructed to barge into any room inside the house without being noticed by any housemate. Whichever room she finds herself into is where she will sleep for the night.
Can Jasmin see herself through Kuya's task? Will her street-smart character help her survive inside the house? How will the other housemates handle her tough and independent personality?
